Looking back on pre-production, i think that we have done very well and are in a good position for construction to begin, despite the many challenges and setbacks we have faced. We managed to deal with a large array of problems from a lack of actors, soundscape issues, lighting issues and shoot location availability. Although, the problems with lighting seemed almost unavoidable, after a series of tests and some trial and error we decided that if we used all the ceiling lights available and filmed in the early afternoon the lighting was workable. We fixed the problem. Despite it being very stressful at the start I believe that the past two weeks have given me the tools to deal with any media problem and find the best solution. This and our methodical evaluation of our rough edit is why i feel confident about going forward in the project. We have very clear targets and know what changes to make, therefore, if all goes well our final cut will be a credible and enjoyable film opening.
